I came to yoga as a curious teenager, having no clue how deeply I’d fall in love.
To me, yoga is a practice of profound, refined listening—to our physical bodies, our mental state, our emotional trips, and how the breath is the central thread—elegantly weaving our internal experience with the external. Together we have an incredible set of tools for self-care to harness our inherent power within. From here, we create a more compassionate community, and a more engaged planet.
My classes are a sweet, challenging blend of fluid grace and steady stillness, all set to an amazing playlist.
I completed my first training in 2006 and dove into teaching all over NYC. The subway quickly became my new best friend.
I have been studying with Tias and Surya Little of Prajna Yoga since 2009, and in recent years, they have become my primary teachers. They have a singular ability to distill decades of study with great clarity and wonder. Their commitment to ongoing studentship and beginner-mind is ever-inspiring to my own self-study. I strive to make my teachings more accessible to meet and uplift each student along their practice path.
I completed an advanced intensive training in 2009 with Schuyler Grant, founder of Kula Yoga Project. She gifted me the brilliant architecture of Kula Flow, which continues to influence my teaching framework. I learned to precisely sequence anatomical themes throughout my classes, including thoughtful breathwork and bandha practice, all strung together with creative transitions.
I was honored to be a part of Elena Brower’s very first Art of Attention teacher training in 2013-2014. This work stays with me as a reminder of presence and stepping into my best self, whole and integrated.
Currently, I am a graduate student at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in New York. I am pursuing my master's in Traditional Chinese Medicine, studying acupuncture and herbal medicine. I have studied with Peter Holmes in Aroma AcuPoint Therapy, and incorporate essential oils into my private work, customizing treatment to meet the physical and emotional needs of each client.
